Local Area Description: Perhaps you haven't discovered St Ives, this ancient town nestles amongst rich, magnificent coastal scenery; surrounding you with the clearest air, the cleanest beaches and scented, sub-tropical gardens. With the influence of the Gulf Stream, this part of the UK enjoys it's own unique micro climate. You can enjoy year round holidays with plenty to see and do. The beaches of St Ives and Carbis Bay provide fine golden sand with clear blue sea, you will never tire of the ever changing colours. There is so much to St Ives, it has a working harbour where you can watch the local fisherman bring in their catch and then enjoy that fresh produce at one of the many local restaurants. St Ives has won the 'Britain in Bloom' competition many times, there is a blaze of colour all around the town: houses smothered in baskets of blooms, parks and public areas a rich spectrum of radiant colours. Take a leisurely walk along the coastal footpath, perhaps to Carbis Bay and further to Lelant with the opportunity to return by train along one of the most scenic railways in the UK.
