The Old School House is now a small friendly family bed and breakfast. Were located in the lively village of Colinton just a few minutes drive from the City Bypass A720. The extensive bus service available from Colinton includes Lothian buses route numbers ten sixteen and 45 which run to the City Centre on a regular basis. With in the village there are 3 Restraurants 2 shops and 2 traditional Village Pubs. Unrestricted street parking is extremely close by. The City By pass is about three minutes drive and the Airport is about fifteen minutes drive away. Our guests are invariably extremely pleased with the delicious freshly prepared breakfastA third guest can be accomomadated in each room. TestimonialMy wife and I stayed here recently having travelled to Edinburgh for a long weekend for my wifes birthday. We chose the Old School House based on other peoples testimonials and were without doubt not disappointed. Sandra the owner is a most welcoming and efficient hostess. The house is delightful as is the location and the room we had was brilliant. The food choice was also brilliant and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Easy access to the city centre a wonderful local village and amenities countryside right on the doorstep means that this is a place that we would not hesitate to recommend or to use again at some future date. By Plane Edinburgh International Airport is a 15 minute drive from Old School House. By Train To get to Old School House on the train you should travel to Waverley Train Station in Central Edinburgh then catch one of the regular buses on Princes Street to Bonaly or Torphin and get off at the first stop on Woodhall Road. The Old School House is yards away. By Car From the A720 Edinburgh Bypass you should take the exit towards Redford and then turn left onto Dreghorn Link. |
