Helpful and patient staff, plenty of space onboard boat. Few locks to operate, and mainly electrically operated, so not very strenuous. Lots of interesting places to visit along the Great Ouse and Cam rivers. We saw seals, yes! you better believe it, on the Great Ouse. A Tesco superstore is very close to Boatyard to stock up. My best tips; on return moor just up river from the boatyard and visit Ely, don't just sail away and ignore it. It's well worth a visit and you can stay in bed later on the day of return. Instead of spending a lot of money in restaurants, just nip into Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsburys and get a meal deal.

The river cruising on the Ouse is peaceful and away from the crowds. Hardly any other boats. Down to Huntington is a lovely stretch of river with Hostelries and shops available.

We would thouroughly recommend this holiday to others. This holiday brought with it a total change of pace compared to our normal day to day life. I don't think I've seen so much wildlife in such a short space of time.

We enjoyed our week boating in June so much with Bridge Boatyards on the River Ouse that we booked again the following September which we enjoyed even more!

This holiday was ideal for a quiet away from it break - it was great for my son who enjoyed the locks and the fishing and had some great walks for our dog. The boatyard was impressive with their helpfulness and everyone we met along the way were happy and friendly.

The reception at the Bridge Boatyard was very good resulting in a swift handover (Free parking has to be commended!) The boat had ample storage and although the weather was inclemmant we were warm and dry.A lovely area to explore with very little boat traffic.

We have used Hoseasons a number of times, but our most recent holiday was the nicest, the little touches of the fruit bowl and chocolates made us feel very special!!!The staff were excellent and made us fell very at ease -at other yards we felt a little processed, this was not the case in Ely. This made a big difference. On this holiday a book was provided on the boat showing maps of the waterway, at previous yards we had to buy a map, this again was very much appreciated! Also we were not felt pressured into buying extra insurance - we felt very pressured previously, but it was not even mentioned this time. All of those little extras in the past made for a stressful start of the holiday.

Our 4 day boating holiday, starting from Ely boatyard was excellent. The staff at the boatyard were both friendly and informative. The boat was well equipped, and clean. We took our 12yr old grandson for his first ever river trip and he loved it. He enjoyed having a drive, and just clambering about on the boat. We had a television on board with a good picture, so he didn't get bored at all. We found lots of welcoming pubs along the river, and as we had our evening meal here he was made welcome. Lovely lovely holiday, thank you Hoseasons, and Ely Boatyard. Would recommend, and hope to do it again next year!!

We had a brilliant holiday. The whole experience was very enjoyable. Although as advertised a boating holiday is very relaxing we had lots of incidents to tell our family and friends when we got home. Much more than reporting back after holiday that "we went and sat by the pool and had another drink". Wouldn't have swapped it for any other holiday.

North of Ely is quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Both my son and I had a great time - the moorings are good as are the three small tributaries to the Ouse.
