Customer Rating/Reviews

A lovely restful week on the river and in the charming towns. Author: Mrs T, Westerham, Kent - Date Submitted: 07/2011

Spending time cruising on a boat is the most relaxing experience. You cannot rush anywhere and life just slows down and you have time to enjoy the beautiful English countryside and see the wild life that lives along the banks. We always take all our provisions with us and are able to moor up for the night without another boat in sight. The locks along the way are added interest and you always meet up with other people. We have been doing boating holidays for over 30 years now and we still love it. Author: Mrs W, Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire - Date Submitted: 07/2011

I would recommend a boating holiday to everyone, it's a very relaxing holiday. Author: Mrs M, Bagillt, Clwyd - Date Submitted: 06/2011

Our holiday was a relaxing break in a quiet and beautiful setting. The highlight was seeing a barn owl on the wing, hunting over the fens. Meeting lovely people who helped a crew of amateurs to negotiate the locks. We can't wait to set sail again next year. Author: Mrs S, London, London - Date Submitted: 06/2011

It was a great adventure and the boat was very well equipped. Author: Dr M, Midhurst, West Sussex - Date Submitted: 05/2011

The Ouse was a delight - more character than other waterways we have been on. Author: Mr E, London, - Date Submitted: 05/2011

This was a great "chill out" time...a completely different pace of life... Good for the soul!! Fantastic views of the countryside and the wildlife, especially all the newly hatched water birds. Author: Mr S, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire - Date Submitted: 05/2011

Excellent holiday, a thoroughly enjoyable experience for first time boaters. Author: Mr B, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire - Date Submitted: 05/2011

Best holiday ever, we completely unwound and even our teenage children enjoyed it. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, cannot recommend it highly enough, we even had fruit and creme eggs waiting for us on board when we arrived. Thank you for a fantastic holiday, lastly a big thank you to Phil at the boatyard for all his help. Author: Mr O, Kingsbridge, Devon - Date Submitted: 05/2011

Fabulous Holiday. So relaxing. Some beautiful places to visit. Well worth visiting Ely if you appreciate beautiful buildings and architecture as it is stunning, especially the cathedral, plus Ely Museum and Oliver Cromwells house is well worth visiting for the history of the area as well. Cambridge is stunning, and if you moor up near or on Jesus Green you are right in the city centre. We moored here for 48 hours to visit everything we could fit in. The boat had everything we needed and more. So comfy and loads of storage space. As long as you follow all the instructions given by the very friendly staff at Bridge Boatyard you cannot go wrong and they make a point of advising you of telephone contacts if you are unsure of anything. First time through locks and that was fun, and another boating learning curve! Author: Mrs G, Manchester, Lancashire - Date Submitted: 09/2010

The boatyard was excellent and for beginners like ourselves the instructions enabled us to quickly get to grips with the large boat and enjoy the River Great Ouse. We will be going again with Hoseasons next year. Author: Mr H, POULTON-LE-FYLDE, LANCASHIRE - Date Submitted: 09/2010

Excellent for children - good fun for adults too! Author: Mr D, RICKMANSWORTH, Hertfordshire - Date Submitted: 09/2010

Fabulous watersports holiday. excitement, peace, freedom, everything a family could need. Author: MRS C, RAMSGATE, Kent - Date Submitted: 07/2010

Our experiences with Hoseasons have always been great and want freinds and family to try it and enjoy it too. Author: Mr R, Upminster, Essex - Date Submitted: 07/2010

Whilst the fens and flat country of Cambridgeshire might put off many people, we would encourageg them to consider it as parts of the rivers were charming and there are some lovely villages to see. Author: Mrs S, SOUTH MOLTON, Devon - Date Submitted: 06/2010

We saw some amazing wildlife and beautiful scenery. It was a tranquil atmosphere and a relaxing and interesting experience. Author: Mrs D, London, - Date Submitted: 06/2010

A wonderful pace of life. You get to see the countryside from a completely new prospective, we all enjoyed spotting the wildlife from fish and herons, to various birds of prey, and even a seal popped up to say 'hello'! Author: Miss S, BEDFORD, - Date Submitted: 03/2010

Very relaxing away from it all holiday. Author: Mr A, Chatham, Kent - Date Submitted: 09/2009

A unique adventure, no 2 holidays could possibly be the same. Author: Mr C, TONBRIDGE, Kent - Date Submitted: 09/2009

For a getaway from it all experience Cruise the Ouse, lots of wildlife picturesque river, and handy country pubs on route. Everyone we met on the river was friendly and welcoming and willing to help when we encountered difficulties. Author: Mrs L, West Drayton, Middlesex - Date Submitted: 09/2009

If you like the Norfolk Broads but find it too busy, then a holiday in the Fens is ideal. Cruising for a couple of hours and only seeing 2 or 3 other boats was very tranquil and the wildlife was far more abundant. A trip down the Old West River, stopping at the historic market town of St Ives, then Houghton Mill etc was sooo interesting. Always room to moor the boat especially when we realised we could use the GOBA moorings! Author: Mrs H, Baldock, Hertfordshire - Date Submitted: 08/2009

We all had a good time, this is the first time we had done this, going through and operating the locks was fun and easy once we got the hang of it, we would do it again. Author: Mr M, WELLING, - Date Submitted: 08/2009

This is a great location for a lads holiday. Author: Mr U, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire - Date Submitted: 05/2008

This was a first time experience and one which we are keen to repeat. We really enjoyed the placid lifestyle and the wide range of wildlife - we have never seen so many Kingfishers before! We would really recommend cruising on our national waterways - there is so much to do and discover and there is really no need to go abroad at all. Many thanks for a truly eye-opening experience! We had a lovely time and it was very relaxing. Author: Mrs W, Tenterden, Kent - Date Submitted: 08/2007

Cambridge waterways are recommended, they are quieter than the Broads, but with a few locks it gives a totally new dimension to boating! Author: Mr F, Livingston, West Lothian - Date Submitted: 06/2007
