Customer Rating/Reviews
Oh, where do I start?! We had a lovely welcome when we arrived, the boarding of the boat was so simply devised so I was at my ease and had time to get used to getting on and off the vessel. The additional information about what was in and around the river was exceptional and added to our holiday enjoyment and edification. The boat was so clean and well contained, had a lovely time of 'playing house', albeit on the move. The staff welcomed us back, searched through the directory for me a hairdresser (even though the gentleman doing it had no hair at all he was he was spookily knowledgeable on the best ones in the area!) and my husband had an added bonus of seeing in the workshop and chatting with the workmen there. He was over the moon. While he was busy there I was welcomed by the staff to look around other types of boat so as to make a choice for next year. We've decided on a longboat. Bridge Boatyard is a credit to the Hoseason flag and I congratulate and thank everyone involved.

I would recommend the holiday as we passed through a variety of countryside from the open fens to very attracive areas such as Godmanchester and St Ives. Also being older there were not too many locks for us to negotiate!

I would recommend it to anyone. If was nerve racking at the start expecially as we'de never handled a boat before, but we soon got the hang of it. The scenery and pace of life was wonderful and most of the boat people were very friendly and helpful.

The fens were peaceful in October. We could cruise for hours without seeing other boats - we had Wicken Fen all to ourselves!
