County Down is one of the six counties that form Northern Ireland. Burr Point in County Down is at the most easterly point of mainland Ireland. St Patrick is reportedly buried in Down cathedral, Downpatrick. The Mourne Mountains are rugged and spectacular with Slieve Donard the highest peak in Northern Ireland.
