Monmouthshire is an area in south east of Wales bordering England. The county town of Monmouth boasts some fine Georgian architecture and Tudor buildings, its 13th century stone gated bridge at Monnow Bridge is the only type of its kind in Britain. The Black Mountains in the north of the county provide spectacular walking and horse riding.
