There is so much to do at Sandy Bay Holiday Park that you're going to forget there is a surrounding area and beautiful coastline to explore! The park itself has so much on offer that it is impossible to experience boredom here. The adventure playground and sports court give the kids copious amounts of activity to get involved in and the indoor pool has inflatables and floats in abundance to make certain of a fun packed time for all who dip their toes into its water. There is direct beach access which means a bathe in the sea or a lounge in the sun on the golden banks is only a short walk away. Sparky and friends run the kids' club for the 5-11 year olds to make sure the youngsters aren't forgotten and Sparkle's Corner is there for the under 5s. Workshops, extreme sports such as Streetball Extreme and Hover Bovver offer something unique that most other holiday parks don't offer their visitors. The Beach Club Bar is also the centre for all the night time entertainment with cabaret and tribute acts as well as other performers, games and competitions being staged here. The theme nights encourage all the family to get involved and the family shows such as Alice in Boogieland promise an unforgettable time will be had by all. Food and drink is ever present at the Boathouse bar and restaurant. Sparky's Kiosk also provides food options for those who want to remain self sufficient on their break. Caravan Holiday Homes are the main types of accommodation and they come in three grades of bronze, silver and gold. Pets are only welcome in the bronze standard so make sure you confirm this when you book up. Free gas and electricity comes as standard. There is also a number of touring caravan spaces and seasonal touring pitches available for those who wish to visit Sandy Bank in a different style.

Local Area Information
Newcastle and Blyth are the nearby attractions for this north east coast resort. The shopping at Newcastle and the marina at Blyth are both worth a visit. The historic side of the north east can also be discovered at Warkworth Castle as well as Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens. Holy Island and Pennine Way are also great places to visit for a day trip if you want to get outdoors and experience the wonderful countryside of the north east.
