The area has some exceptional sub-tropical gardens - Logan Botanic Gardens, Castle Kennedy Gardens, Ardwell Gardens, Glenwhan Gardens & Dunskey Gardens. More traditional tourist attractions include Port Logan Fish Pond - Marine Life Centre, Creetown Gem Rock Museum, Bladnoch Distillery, Mull of Galloway Lighthouse, Glenluce Abbey & Monreith Animal World. Of course, you are also only a 'hop, skip & a jump' from Northern Ireland and the ferry companies offer some excellent day trips to Ireland.
