Cottage Description
Penyrallt Fach Cottage provides cosy accommodation of character in an attractively converted 19th century piggery; a perfect country retreat with exposed beams, wood-lined ceiling & a wood-burning stove. There is an open-plan, fully equipped kitchen/dining /sitting room with a farmhouse table and seating for 4, a comfortable sofa & easy chairs in front of the very efficient wood-burning stove. An extensive selection of DVDs, books & board-games, TV, DAB radio with iPod dock & DVD player are provided. The two bedrooms, a double & a twin, are simply and attractively furnished with the beds having been made by the owners using timber harvested from the woods on the farm. The beds are provided with duvets, patchwork quilts and lovely,locally woven Welsh wool blankets. The bathroom is simple & functional with a bath with hand-held shower, wash-basin, lavatory, heated towel-rail & washing-machine. On arrival a small, organic welcome basket, home-baked cake and fresh flowers from the garden will be on the table. All fuel for the wood-burner, electricity, bedlinen & towels are included in the price. The water supply comes from pure natural springs that rise on the farm. The Farm is an organic dairy farm with handsome stone buildings dating from the mid-19th century and beautiful views across the Teifi Valley. It is a member of the Soil Association Open Farms Network and visitors are very welcome to walk over the fields and to see the day-to-day running of the farm, including the twice-a-day milking of the cows. The lovely beaches of Cardigan Bay & the Pembrokeshire Coast Path are within easy reach as are the Cambrian Montains of mid-Wales.

From M4 at Junction 49 take the A484 to Carmarthen From Carmarthen continue on A484 for about 16 miles. At Rhos bear off right onto the A486 & go for 1/4 mile to a crossroads. Turn right at the No Through Road sign and continue to the end. |

Local Area Description: The Teifi Valley marks the boundary between the three counties of Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire & Pembrokeshire. It is the gateway to some spectacular scenery both at the coast and up in the hills. There are many fascinating ancient & historic sites to be visited as well as delightful small market towns and villages. There are a number of National Trust properties in the area and the National Botanic Gardens of Wales & Aberglasney are a short drive away.
