Customer Rating/Reviews

If you just want to relax and enjoy the peace then tobys barn is the place for you, they have animals there for the children to see, will be going there again i loved it the owners are very friendly and helpfull. Author: Miss C, Bishop'S Stortford, Hertfordshire - Date Submitted: 05/2011

An excellent holiday. The accommodation was superb, and the advertising did not do it justice. The nearby animals, the welcome from the hosts, the pretty village nearby, the walks along the river, were all wonderful and were not advertised as such. A hidden gem, which with some improved marketing, won't be hidden for long. Author: Mr R, Norwich, Norfolk - Date Submitted: 04/2011

Excellent holiday - couldn't improve on anything - perfect get-away. Author: Mrs B, Brampton, Cumbria - Date Submitted: 04/2011

We had a lovely time stayting at Toby's Barn. Our Children particularly enjoyed feeding the horses and pigs. Looking forward to our next visit! Author: Mr H, Broadstairs, Kent - Date Submitted: 02/2011

You will not be disappointed the cottage exceeds 4 star! Ideal for families. We have spent new year here & I could not think of any negatives at all. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Author: Niss M, Sheffield, South Yorkshire - Date Submitted: 01/2011

A very peaceful and friendly place with a friendly host. Not forgetting the animals we had a lovely time! Author: Mr B, Royston, Hertfordshire - Date Submitted: 03/2009

Toby's Barn is a beautiful converted barn, in amazing condition and great decoration. It was just perfect for us (4 adults, 3 children) and the kitchen is fabulously well equipped. The entire property is extremely clean, spacious and gives a wonderful relaxing holiday feel. Outside there are horses to chat to, ponds, peace and quiet and miles away from the main roads. The local village boasts a couple of pubs, post office, and a lovely restaurant. We were extremely impressed with everything and plan to go back again! The location is very close to Nottingham and Leicester, and the Space Museum - kids and dads were enthralled there while the ladies wandered off to the shops in Nottingham for some therapy. All in all, a heavenly experience - highly recommended. Author: Mrs K, Verwood, Dorset - Date Submitted: 02/2009

A beautiful property in lovely grounds, so very relaxing. Would love to go again in the summer. Owners so kind and helpful. Author: Miss B, Oldbury, West Midlands - Date Submitted: 01/2009

For anyone looking at this property I would say definitely give it a try. We were impressed by the comfort and standard of the cottage - the owners are welcoming and obviously take a pride in how pleased people are when they are first shown around! We booked for my daughter's graduation and two family birthdays and the cottage played a big part in making some happy memories. The area is not the most traditional holiday location, but actually is in easy reach of lots to do - apart from Nottingham and some lovely market towns (especially Southwell), there is the Sherwood Forest area, National Trust properties, and also the Peak District, Alton towers and Lincoln in easy reach. Then come back for a glass of wine on the lovely little patio! It was a bit tricky to find the cottage the first time, so slightly clearer instructions for the last bit of the way. Otherwise mediterannean weather is the only other improvement I can think of! Author: Mrs H, Liverpool - Date Submitted: 07/2008

This was one of two weeks booked to spend with my family for after I had some hospital treatment. Peace and quiet, a beautiful setting. All the comforts with little extra touches that made it special. Author: Mr F, Burnley - Date Submitted: 07/2008

An excellent and spacious accommodation, perfect for families with a dog. Lots of paddock space for exercise and an easy public footpath network directly from the Barn. Author: Mrs G, Sidmouth, Devon - Date Submitted: 05/2008

You cannot improve on this holiday. The location, the quality of the accommodation and the helpfulness of the owner were all unbeatable! Author: Mr B, Eastleigh, Hampshire - Date Submitted: 03/2008

Excellent cottage, extremely well equipped, very friendly owners and the dog was made very welcome. Probably the best holiday cottage we have stayed in. Author: Mrs P, Consett, Durham - Date Submitted: 05/2007

Toby's Barn is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life - set in rural Nottingham, the barn is decorated to the highest of standards and surround by paddocks. The owners are more than helpful and very friendly. Toby's Barn was perfect, we had a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend it to anyone - thank you!
