Fern Villa Cottages were purpose built and were completed at Easter 2000. They are of modern construction and yet have been designed to fit into the character of this small Highland village. Built at one end of the village shinty pitch they have a splendid clear view of the Mamore Hills on the opposite side of Loch Leven.
The cottages are in the village of Ballachulish just one mile from the bottom of the Pass of Glencoe and fourteen miles South of Fort William.
Surrounded by some of the most spectacular loch and mountain scenery in Scotland, this is an area that is steeped in Scottish history. It makes the perfect base for all holiday activities and is an excellent centre for walking, climbing, skiing, touring, photography or just relaxing in the beautiful Highland environment.
Fern Villa Cottages are tastefully furnished and are electrically heated throughout. There is no extra charge for electricity used.
The ground floor is an open plan area of about seven metres by five metres and is furnished into a lounge area, a dining room area and a kitchen area. The lounge area is comfortable and relaxing with the patio doors looking out towards the shinty pitch and the Mamore Hills. The dining room area has a large table that can seat six around it comfortably. The kitchen is equipped with cooker, microwave, refrigerator, kettle and toaster. Of course, all cooking and eating utensils are provided.
On the upper floor there are two bedrooms both of which have two single beds, wardrobe, bedside cabinet and chest of drawers. Bed linen and towels are provided.
There is ample car parking on site.
A BT pay phone is situated about 20 metres from the cottages.
