SETTING - We are a Hotel-style Guest House, located on the A77, between Stranraer and Cairnryan (4 miles along the coast road to Stranraer Stena Line ferry terminal, 1 mile to PO terminal). Set in lawned gardens, with views over Loch Ryan, and a shingle beach directly opposite. STYLE - With a range of accommodation, the building has the scale and design expected of most hotels (although we do not have a licensed bar), but offers the prices and hospitality that define a quality Guest House or BB. The building itself has had a variety of uses, boasting a history that can make a place feel very unique and special. Whilst bedrooms are styled with classic simplicity and contemporary furniture, bedroom corridors and other communal areas provide a mix of antiques and modern design. FOOD - Breakfast is served from 07.30, overlooking the gardens, the loch and the docking ferries. For earlier departures, a tray is provided with juice, cereal filled baguette (prior notice only). Evening meals can be arranged with prior notice, alternatively a licensed restaurant is available 2 miles away in Cairnryan, and there are a host of other eateries in Stranraer. IMPORTANT DETAILS - The entire building is strictly non-smoking. Maximum duration of stay is 3 nights. Check-in is from 1300 to 2400 (admission will NOT be possible after midnight).
