About Herefordshire

Herefordshire

Herefordshire is a very rural and sparsely populated county with Hereford being its county town. The cider and fruit manufacturing is well known throughout the country. With rolling hills and beautiful countryside the county really flourishes as a getaway destination.

Other towns within the county include Ross-on-Wye, Leominster and Ledbury. The county is also dotted with historic castles and houses that share a view of what England was like all those years ago. Abbey Dore Court, Croft Castle, Hampton Court and Priory Church are all sites that give an insight into England's rich past.

Goodrich is home to a lovely castle as well as some gorgeous tea rooms and restaurants. Hereford Cathedral is also an amazing building which stands out in the Hereford town. Herefordshire is also within close reach of the Brecon Beacons and Cotswold Hills so nature lovers and walking enthusiasts will be very fond of the county and its surrounding areas with all they have to offer.

The county borders Wales but also has easy transport links to some of England's major cities.
