The Harbour beach is in the ideal location to sit back and take pleasure in watching the local fishermen landing their daily catch; a large percentage of this delicious seafood makes it to the cafes and restaurants for you to take pleasure in.  Head away from the harbour and you will enter a maze of narrow cobbled streets lined by art galleries and independent shops. One of the most popular attractions in St Ives is the renowned Tate gallery, an imposing building standing over Porthmeor Beach.
