Guests may use the communal sitting areas in the excellent Hall laundry facilities and seven acres of secluded gardens and woodland.

Leave the M6 at Junction 38 signposted A685 for Brough and Kirkby Stephen. At the end of the slip road there is a roundabout. Take the first exit north along the B6260 through Old Tebay. Follow this road for 2 miles to Orton. Just before the 30mph speed restriction turn right into the gated drive to Orton Hall with ample parking to the front. The nearest main line railway stations are at Penrith to the north and Oxenholme to the south. Buses run to Orton village from Penrith and from Kendal.
