The kitchen diner and living area is open plan and there is a downstairs shower room. Outside is a patio with garden furniture and use of a small paddock. 1 well behaved dog is welcome but is not permitted in the bedrooms. The property is non smoking. It provides stunning views over farmland and is located in a tranquil village position twelve mile from the A64 bus routes and local facilities such as the Post Office and general store butcher two pubs and a fish and chip shop. The traditional market town of Malton is five miles away and provides many interesting shops a Farmers Market pubs restaurants museum tourist information train station and cinema. Castle Howard Flamingo Land Eden Camp North Yorkshire Moors Railway Scampston Walled Gardens Wolds Way Lavender Farm Dalby Forest Sledmere House and Kirkham Priory are close by. located less than 1 mile from Yorkshire Wolds Way Rose Cottage is an brilliant choice for walkers. The area also provides some excellent cycling routes. The East Coast provides a variet of beaches from the traditional seaside resort of Scarborough (20 miles) brilliant but peaceful beach at Hunmanby Gap surfing (incuding hire)at Cayton Bay the fascinating rocks at Filey Brigg to the angling Port at Whitby famous for its brilliant fish and chips. Yorkshire Wolds Way Rose Cottage is mile from this well marked walking route which starts in Hull and continues through outstandingly stunning and ever-changing scenery to Filey Brigg. The City of York (25 miles) has many attractions of its own many of them steeped in history and tradition. The Minster the Shambles the Roman City Walls Jorvik Viking Centre Railway museum are only a few places of interest. On a clear day looking out of the across the garden you can see the North Yorkshire Moors in the distance. Guests may wish to take the North Yorkshire Moors Railway which runs from Pickering through some stunning expanses of Moorland to Whitby. A popular attraction is the village of Goathland where the ITV series Heartbeat was filmed.

Directions To Rose Cottage1) From the M1 take the M18 at Junction 32 towards Hull.2) At junction 2 exit onto A1(M) .3) Continue on A1 until Junction 45 onto the A64 signposted York East Coast.4) Continue on A64 for approximately 37 miles. You will pass the exit for Malton but continue on A64 on the dual carriageway.5) The dual carriage way returns to a single carriageway. Continue on the A64 passing through Rillington Fields.6) As you enter Rillington there is a 40mph sign. You will pass a small car garage on your left. |
