The building surrounds a central courtyard which was originally a travellers coaching inn. It was built in 1530 at Number 38 Whielden Street which was formerly known as Union Street when Amersham Hospital was known as The Workhouse. And rumour has it 2 ghosts roam the building 1 is alleged to be a young serving wench from the 17th Century the other 1 remains a mystery. The Saracens Head Inn nestled in the stunning centre of Amersham Old Town dating back to 1530 provides twelve ensuite rooms to suit every need. From a 4 poster bed to the newly built rooms overlooking the cobbled court yard and the secluded garden to the rear. Each room provides TV Tea and Coffee making facilities Hairdryer Free Wi Fi and Ironing equipment available. How to find The Saracens Head InnDirections from the M25At junction 18 of the M25 follow the A404 westbound towards Amersham.Continue on through the outskirts of Chorleywood and then through Little Chalfont (taking the last exit at the mini roundabout).Upon reaching Amersham take the first exit off the roundabout towards Amersham Old Town continue down the hill and take the 3rd exit off the next roundabout.Continue past Merritts Jaguar dealer on to the next roundabout. |
