B&B Description

This traditionally built Lakeland-Stone Victorian House sits in its own gardens backed by a stream and woodland, and is situated a short walk from both the centres of Windermere and Bowness on Windermere. The atmosphere is relaxed and tranquil. The house was built in 1888 as a gentleman's residence, on entry you will be immediately aware that Glenville still holds a lot of its original character The beautiful pitch pine entrance door with its original stained glass sets the scene for the remainder of the house.
On the ground floor there is a spacious breakfast room and a large double/twin room. The wonderful pitch pine staircase takes you up to any one of six rooms, all rooms are en-suite spacious, tastefully decorated and furnished, with full central heating, colour TV, and radio clock alarms, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities are also provided.
We are delighted offer 2 Superior Rooms that are larger more spacious rooms with Trouser Press, Bathrobes, Luxury Toiletries and Welcome Tray, and for that really Special Treat why not book our Deluxe Room which has a Super King Bed CD player bath and shower along with all the amenities of a superior room
