Woodlands has five Hotel rooms (sleep 2) and nine Log cabins (sleep 4) in the Hotel grounds. Woodlands is a excellent venue for larger groups of 25-50 people for those special occasions. The Hotels restaurant is well known for fine quality and excellent value evening meals. Close proximity by car to Lake Windermere makes this the perfect base for exploring the magnificent English Lake District. Close by Grange over Sands has remained little changed over the years and the mile-long promenade looks much as it did in the 1800s. This picturesque seaside town also boasts a number of well maintained gardens and parks along with a selection of little shops and cafes where guests can browse and unwind. 2 local golf courses will enhance the appeal of this destination to golfing enthusiasts.

LA11 6RBThe Woodlands at Meathop is barely 15 minutes from Junction 36 on the M6 and 6 miles from Newby Bridge at the foot of Lake Windermere.Exit the M6 at junction 36 and head toward Windermere. After 3 miles take the exit marked A590 to Barrow-in-Furness and Grange-over-Sands. After a further 8 miles at a roundabout take the first exit which is marked to Grange-over-Sands. Immediately on the left is a country lane signposted to Meathop. |
