If you like peace and tranquility in an affordable family-run Bed and Breakfast then this is the place for you. The accommodation - all on the on the first floor is a - comprises three individually decorated en-suite rooms with tea trays and televisions; a family room sleeping up to 4 a double room and a single room. We can especially cater for groups of up to six Mountain Bikers coming to the close by Coed y Brenin Mountain Bike Centre as we have brilliant storage in our large cellar and washing facilities for muddy bikes and clothes. The house has many character features such as slate flagstones oak staircase large inglenook fireplace and oak beams and also has the extremely unusual feature of an exterior stone staircase winding round the back of the building. Ty Seren lies only off of the main square of Dolgellau a minutes walk from the nearest pubrestaurant and also two minutes walk from Ty Siamas the new National Folk Music Centre of Wales. The house itself has a checkered history at 1 time being a pub called The Star (Seren is Welsh for Star) at another housing 3 evacuated families on the open plan weaving floor up-stairs we also have 1 of the earliest flat roof shop extensions in the area circa. 1860!.

On entering the town by any of the four entrance roads you will eventually join a one way system Meyrick Street is at the top end of this one way system where it meets the central Eldon Square. Follow the one way system round the town branching right at each of the forks after passing on the left in quick succession a pub named the Unicorn a jewellers called Scotts a branch of Threshers and a large red painted hardware shop named J P and Sons turn IMMEDIATE left into Meyrick Street. |
