We are superbly situated for visiting Glasgows many museums and art galleries and only minutes away from Glasgows finest shopping streets Sauchiehall Street and Buchanan Street where in addition you shall find an brilliant selection of restaurants bars cinemas nightclubs etc. All the main transport points Glasgow Central Station Queen Street Station and Buchanan Bus Station are easily accessible.

We are approx 1520 minutes walk from all or five minutes by taxi. Please note the walk from all these stations is all uphill in particular from Central and Queen Street Stations if you have heavy baggage or have walking difficulties a taxi is strongly recommended. The rooms also have television satellite channels teacoffee facilities and telephone.

The rooms are available from one. 00pm onwards and the check out time is 11am. If you arrive before one. 00pm you can leave your baggage with us. We serve breakfast daily from 7am to 9am. We do not have a car park and parking is on the street just and is restricted due to our extremely central position. Glasgow City Council has a voucher scheme in operation for parking and we can supply the vouchers on their behalf for a nominal cost to enable parking.

The cost from 4pm to 8am the next day is two. 00. The cost from 8am to 2pm is two. 00. The cost from 8am to 4pm is four. 00. There is also a 24 hour multi-storey car park two minutes drive away from the guest house. McLays Guest House has 81 bedrooms and guests can choose between single rooms twin rooms double rooms family rooms with one double and one single bed and family rooms with one double and two single beds.

We have 58 rooms with ensuite showertoilet and 23 rooms with wash-hand basin which share communal bathrooms on the corridors. Guests can take pleasure in restful chatting reading or watching television in 1 of the two spacious and comfortably furnished TV lounges. McLays has four dining rooms offering a choice of breakfast menu complimentary to all guests. We also have for guests use computers for internet access there is a two. 00 cost for 30 minutes use if you have your own laptop then we provide free wi-fi access but just around our public areas a access code is required for this which we will provide. We have a lift but in just in 1 of the 4 buildings which make up the guest house.

We are in a particularly hilly part of the city centre there are also fifteen steps from street level to our main entrance. Please note any reservation for more than 1 room or any reservation which is for all male groups are accepted but at our discretion just and a deposit may be asked for we decide the amount of the deposit if the reservation is not willing to pay a deposit then we will not accept the reservation.
