Nestled in the heart of spectacular scenery overlooking the river Swale and waterfall and its Castle with in touching distance River View provides a unique starting point to explore the pretty and charming market town of Richmond. River View is a traditional stone built Dales house occupying a location in the older and pretty part of yea olde Richmond with a garden reaching directly down to the riverside path. Centrally situated we are with in a two minute walk of the cobbled Market Place - the central hub of the town - with its shops restaurants pubs and Georgian theatre. Relaxed accommodation is offered in 1 of our tastefully decorated rooms. Each room is individual with 1 room facing the river and waterfall and the other room having a view of the castle keep. All are stylishly simple and peaceful tastefully decorated to offer a comfy warm and restful place to chill-out after a days activities. Personal and obliging service is assured. On arrival weather permitting complimentary coffee or tea is served on the stone patio overlooking the pretty river Swale and the famous Wainwright Coast to Coast path. For those with cars there is parking directly outside the house and alterative unmetered parking close by. Set yourself up for a days walking or sight seeing with a full English breakfast with scrumptious top quality bacon and sausage sourced locally. You could opt for the vegetarian alternative with scrambled eggs on whole-wheat toast mushrooms and tomatoes. And of course you can have as much fresh juice cereals toast tea and coffee as you can manage. Guests with a wireless enabled laptop or PDA can take advantage of complimentary high speed internet access from the comfort of their own room.

Richmond is easy to get to and is only 10 minutes drive from both the A1 and A66.From A1 NORTH and A66 turn off at Scotch Corner and follow signs for Richmond.From A1 SOUTH turn off at Catterick and follow signs for Richmond.On entering Richmond head for the cobbled Market Place. At the lower end of the Market Place marked by Barclays Bank go down Millgate. After 200 yards a road appears on the left and River View BandB is situated at this junction. The waterfall is the next stop!Nearest train station Darlington (8 miles). |
