Spacious rooms offer Far-Eastern inspired decor super king sized beds luxury linen and toiletries and free Wi-Fi. Guests at this boutique bed and breakfast have their own wing of the house with a log fire and private library. Each room includes a flat-screen TV iPod dock and luxury private bathroom. There is also a picturesque village pub at the bottom of our lane with bistro style food available. The traditional freshly-cooked breakfast and dinners by request at Kirkbank use local produce with fish sourced from the close by port of Eyemouth. Paxton House a country house with stunning grounds is only ten minutes walking distance. Different walks in the area range from a three or six mile forest or riverside trail to longer distance treks. Golfing horse riding angling and mountain walking are also available or only sit and unwind. Kirkbank House is a 10-minute drive across the EnglishScottish border from Berwick-Upon-Tweed. The A1 and its links to Edinburgh and Newcastle can be reached in five minutes by car.

London is only 3.5 hours by train.We are located in the village of Paxton off the B6461 4 miles from the A1 as it bypasses Berwick upon Tweed.To get to Kirkbank House take the lane between the pub and the telephone box.Pass Merse View and take the private road on the left up the hill.Kirkbank House is the first home there on your right.There are signposts to show you the way starting at the Cross Inn. |
