Torrdarach House

Torrdarach is our stunning BandB in the renowned Highland Perthshire town of Pitlochry. Built in 1901 the house is located on a peaceful elevated corner just a few hundred metres off the high street on the edge of the Conservation Area. All of our bedrooms are en-suite and most have been fully redecorated in 2011. This refurbishment included dĂcor carpets beds curtains furniture TVs withintegrated DVD players and original paintings.

Facilities in the new look bedrooms include Sealy beds - we have invested in some marvellous new beds from Sealy. A top of the range medium-firm mattress from the Sealy contract range. We dont think you will be disappointed. They have a extremely luxurious feel! at least 1 easy chair solid oak furniture LCD television withintegrated DVD player tea and coffee making facilities - a range of teas and coffee is provided.

Families are welcome. Cots baby monitors and highchairs can be provided. Our guest lounge with its open fire overlooks the garden and has views beyond to the Tummel Valley. Breakfast (provided in part by our own hens) is served in the south-facing dining room also overlooking the garden. Red squirrels and birds are regular breakfast time guests to the feeders outside the dining room.

We are licensed to sell alcohol and have a wide selection on offer as well as local beers over 30 whiskies wines (by the glass or bottle) and other spirits and soft drinks. These can be served to guests in the lounge or garden. Pitlochry has been a popular tourist destination for over 150 years. The spectacular mountain and mixed woodland scenery with its many lochs rivers and waterfalls has been well mapped for walkers and mountain-bikers.

The golf course home of the Highland Open is only two minutes up the road from the house and this also provides excellent views down the Tummel Valley. Note We have private parking for guests and safe storage for bicycles. Complimentary wireless internet access is available throughout the house.

Directions

By car from the SouthPitlochry is approximately 1.5 hours from Edinburgh and 2 hours from Glasgow. The northbound motorways leaving edinburgh (M90) and Glasgow (M80) both join the A9 which continues north to Pitlochry. Follow signs to Inverness the whole way.Approximately 26 miles out of Perth leave the A9 signposted Pitlochry. The slip road runs directly into the Atholl Road high street. Continue up Atholl Road past the main shopping area until you reach the Auld Smiddy Inn on the right hand side. Take the next right up Larchwood Road.
