We are pleased to offer a warm and friendly welcome to guests seeking quality Visit Wales 4 Star Bed and Breakfast accommodation here at Plasnewydd in the Heart of Powys in rural Mid Wales. Our accommodation has recently been refurbished and redecorated having been built for our family in 1911.

Our B&B is within easy walking distance of all amenities. Our elegant accommodation nestles quietly at Llanwrtyd Wells amongst spectacular, panoramic views of the Cambrian Mountains and Eppynt Range. You can be assured of excellent hospitality, with the best in comfort to make your stay memorable and enjoyable.

Accommodation

All bedrooms are carefully furnished with attention given to detail, included are beverage trays, - with Welsh Cakes daily, wash hand basins, robes - toiletries, tissues. thermostatically controlled heating, clock radios, hair dryers and playing cards. Guests have exclusive use of the bathroom, toilets and wash hand basins. If you should require a snack an honesty basket is provided. A guest wrote recently " No detail has been overlooked"

Guests have exclusive use of the comfortably furnished lounge, sit back, relax and enjoy our selection of books and magazines, watch the television or choose a film to watch on the DVD Player.

A secure lock-up shed is provided for storing your bikes together with washing facilities for those muddy clothes, boots and bikes. Also an ample private off-road parking area is available.

Plasnewydd makes a superb base to explore the beauty of Powys, Mid Wales and visit its many attractions, it is also the perfect choice for exploring the length and breadth of Wales. We are within easy reach of the wonderful beaches of west Wales. This is a paradise for mountain biking, walking, rambling, birdwatching, pony trekking and golfing.

BIKING.

Llanwrtyd Wells is an absolute gem for cyclists. It's unique in the UK in offering visiting bikers - road and off-road cycling, an unprecedented mix of mountain and valley routes. Here at Plas newydd B&B we have a folder of seven routes available for your enjoyment. Hire a mountain bike here, including safety helmet for a full or half day and get out and enjoy this wonderful countryside.

WALKING.

Walking in Mid Wales leaves plenty of scope for the walker whether adventurous or not. The walks can cover roads, tracks, paths or open moorlands. Follow beautiful valleys with fast- flowing streams, open moorland offering extensive views over a vast expanse of glorious wilderness.

BIRDWATCHING.

While birdwatching you may see many rare birds such as the Red Kite, Peregrine Falcon, Raven or the Merlin.

GOLFING.

The 18 hole golf course of 5367 yards at Builth Wells which is only a 15 minutes drive away from Plasnewydd is built on undulating parkland and utilises the natural characteristic of woodland and water to produce a challenging, but fair test of golf for low and high handicappers alike.
