Welcome to Anton Guest House B&B, formerly an early Edwardian Gentleman's residence. We offer bed and breakfast with four star quality, comfort and service. We are located in the town of Shrewsbury, Shropshire, nestling on the border of Wales and England, surrounded almost entirely by the river Severn.

We are a friendly, family run establishment where guest satisfaction, cleanliness and comfort matter. You will find that we have thought of the smallest detail to make your stay as comfortable as possible. All rooms are ensuite and offer free WIFI access, LCD Digital TV, DVD and CD player.

Welcome trays are well stocked with quality refreshments including herbal teas, hot chocolate, bottled water and biscuits. All of our rooms are supplied with luxury touches including fluffy white dressing gowns, quality organic toiletries and large soft towels.

You may also find essentials such as shower caps, nail files, shoe shine wipes and sewing kits useful too.

The house was originally built in 1905 and has been recently refurbished. There is a new Edwardian style ensuite in the Grace Suite, which along with our other rooms, benefits from new decor, carpets, beds and furnishings. The house is full of the charm and character that epitomised the Edwardian period and the nostalgic feel is complimented by period wardrobes, dressing tables and original fireplaces.

We are conveniently located a short 10 minute walk from the historic town centre and all major transport routes are nearby. There's plenty to see and do in Shrewsbury. The historical Benedictine Abbey Church, home of the fictional Brother Cadfael, is just around the corner, along with plenty of restaurants, pubs, supermarkets and a multi screen cinema. Relax and unwind as you take a riverside walk into town along the bank of the river Severn. Visit the Quarry Park and gardens or explore the many shuts and passageways of Shrewsbury's Tudor streets. Other attractions nearby include Shrewsbury Castle and the world heritage site of Ironbridge is only 14 miles away.

In the morning, we offer you a delicious full English breakfast including free range eggs and sausage and bacon, of the very best quality, sourced from local suppliers. We also cater for vegetarian, low fat or coeliac diets. A refrigerator and microwave are located in the dining room for guest use, and chilled bottled water is available here during the summer months, supplied freely.

Other services include: ironing facilities, a baggage store, morning wakeup call, a lock-up facility for bicycles and a wealth of knowledge on the local area. We are located in a residential area and there is free on street parking.
