Key Farm HouseWe are comfy traditional welcoming and relaxed. There is ample off road parking in the grounds at the rear. We are located approx. 2 miles from the centre of Yeovil in a semi rural area on the Dorchester roadThe house is grade eleven of special and historic interest. Built of local rubble stone mostly rendered with ham stone dressings circa 1600. Features include Ovolo mould and oak framed mullioned windows with square leaded panes many with head moulds. The projecting north entrance also has a extremely old door with small side lights in the returns. Outside at the rear is a large old timber framed Granary Building. Key Farm House offers accommodation with contemporary facilities whilst retaining its remarkable period features; as well as flagstone and wooden floors ham stone and cast iron fireplaces and in the east drawing room some good panelling circa 1700. There are lawned areas around the house which can be enjoyed when the weather permits. There is ample free off road parking in the grounds at the rearThe Property is located about 2 miles south of Yeovil on the Dorchester road. Yeovil is the commercial centre for the area and has an brilliant range of amenities as well as shops sports clubs garages and the old town of Sherbourne with its Abbey and other amenities is just 8 miles distant. We are centrally situated for visiting the many National Trust properties in the area. Sporting facilities in the area include horse racing at Wincanton Exeter Taunton and Salisbury. Golf at Yeovil Long Sutton Sherborne and Windwhistle. Neighbouring course angling at Stoford and Hillfield; Carp angling at Pavyotts Mill; Water Sports at close by Sutton Bingham Reservoir and the Dorset Jurassic Coastline. Breakfast; A cooked breakfast is offered with tea coffee fresh orange juice; a selection of cereals yogurts and freshly prepared fruits Served Weekdays 7-8. 30 a. M Weekends 8-9. 30 a. m. Smoking is not allowed in the building but is permitted outside in the garden. Well behaved pets are welcome for a 1 off charge of five. Key Farmhouse is situated on the A 37 south of Yeovil heading towards Dorchester on the Dorchester Road. After passing the Red House pub on the roundabout continue for approximately 500 yards past Key Farm on your right and you will see a drive with a BandB sign. This is the entrance to Key Farm House. Turn right into the drive and follow it around to the car parking area. |
