The rolling Wiltshire countryside around Broad Hinton is a designated area of exceptional natural beauty yet just a short drive from the Marlborough (junction 15) or Swindon (junction 16) exits of the M4. Aveburys world heritage stone circle and the well known market towns of Marlborough Devizes and Wootton Bassett are close by. A little further afield are the historic sites of Bath Salisbury and Stonehenge. Compton Farmhouse is part of a former working farm with the original chalk stone farmhouse dating back to at least the 1770s. The spacious accommodation with an eclectic mix of antique and modern furnishings has 2 floors and a private entrance. It comprises an open plan sitting room with a shower room on the ground floor linked to the large on the first floor is a bedroom by a feature spiral staircase. On the on the first floor is a there is an en-suite bathroom with a spa bath. The accommodation has been designed and furnished to a extremely high standard. From Junction 15 M4Take Marlborough exit (A346). At petrol station turn right to Chiseldon (New Road). At mini roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Hodson Road (B4005 direction of Wroughton). Bear right on Brimble Hill (B4005). At Three Tuns roundabout in Wroughton take the 1st exit onto the A4361 (signposted Devizes). Continue on A4361 until the second turning into Broad Hinton (Post Office Lane - opposite The Bell pub). At the end of Post Office Lane turn left and then immediately right into the 5 bar gated entrance of Compton Farmhouse. |
