Langley Wood House is the Dower House on the 3000 acre Hamptworth Estate located in the northern part of the spectacular New Forest National Park. The house itself which dates back to 1750 is with in the nationally important Langley Wood a designated SSSI ancient woodland. Stepping out of Edwardian luxury directly on to paths and marked walks with in the wood is a extremely special pleasure. Internally the house is made for relaxation. The Drawing Room Dining Room and Library are all elegantly furnished yet retain a warmth and cosiness that guests return for time and time againThe Bedrooms are all en-suite and contain King Size beds as well as stunning furniture. All of course have those friendly touches you would expect. The Hamptworth Estate includes a Championship Golf course amazing woodland walks country sports opportunities and many regular events such as open air plays opera evenings plant fairs and country shows. The breakfast at Langley Wood House is second to none and cooked freshly to order - no chafing dishes and greasy sausages here! A wide range of cereals and yoghurts can be followed by toast or of course the full New Forest Breakfast with locally produced sausages bacon and eggs. Dinner can be taken by prior arrangement at 25 per person for a 3 course dinner. Georgie and AJ are accomplished hosts. Georgie has years of experience working in a front of house role for a wonderful catering company and AJ is a skilled chef with an imaginative range of menus and recipies. From London Southampton and the M3 Take the M27 to junction 2 (Ower roundabout). Then take A36 towards Salisbury. Five miles later At the B3079 (signposted Bramshaw Nomansland and Hamptworth) turn left. Half a mile down this road turn right opposite a primary school into Hamptworth Road. Langley Wood can be found 2.5 miles along on the right hand side.From Salisbury Take the A36 towards Southampton.
