Head north on the Trent and Mersey and you will come to the Caldon Canal where you can cruise through to Froghall and spend a day being thrilled at Alton Towers Theme Park, only fifteen minutes by bus. As well as access to the 4 major Rings the area abounds with stately homes, castles, gardens and picturesque villages - the ideal respite after a hard day cruising.
