The actual narrowboat experience was fantastic. Being able to go at your own pace, visit some wonderful villages/cities especially Birmingham city centre - gas street basin. We met a wide range of folks, all very friendly. Canal pubs were well described in the PEARSONS GUIDE. This was recommended by Calcutt, which was a positive for the boat company.
