 Amazingly peaceful on the Oxford canal, despite there being many boats at the locks. Lovely atmosphere, and other boaters very friendly. The booklet we bought describing English canals was really useful with detailed information about distances, travelling times & locks plus descriptions of villages, towns and pubs en route with interesting historical notes.
