Lodge Description

This exclusively designed spacious and deluxe luxury lodge comes with one large sized double bedroom with a four poster bed. It was brand new in 2010 and is ideal for couples who want a romantic break away.

This stunning lodge is based in the boundaries of a wonderful and historic 1,000 acre park estate in Gisburn. Right in the middle of the Ribble Valley, this region was the inspiration for J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings series and is considered to be an area of designated exceptional natural beauty and offers a gateway to the glorious and atmospheric Yorkshire Dales.

The lodge is covered with rural and rustic charm as well as prize-winning gardens as well as water features. You can take benefit from your own private decking area that has an outdoor hot tub and there is also an on-site massage therapist to help you unwind. The walking paths and cycle routes through the estate are worth experiencing so you can full appreciate the Ribble River that flows through it.

Pendle Hill is close by and offers the challenge for outdoor enthusiasts with tough walking routes. The reputed Assheton Arms in the village of Downham was the setting for the BBC production of Born and Bred. It is only a 10 minute walk through the beautiful estate from the lodge where you can discover the historic market village of Gisburn with a superb award-winning Italian restaurant, wonderful pub and plenty of quaint shops. The Lancashire coast is scattered with various market towns such as Clitheroe, Settle and Skipton all of which are 10 minutes away. The glory of the Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales are both near by.

This lodge has an outdoor hot tub, flat screen TV, DVD player, CD player (TV/DVD player in the bedroom for selected lodges), microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, bath and a shower. Bed linen, duvets and towels are supplied. Beds are made up for your arrival. Double glazing and central heating are present throughout. Gas and electricity is included. Travel cots and high chairs cost £12 per week each. Family parties only. Unfortunately, no pets are allowed.
