 This traditional stone-built farm building has been delicately converted by local craftsmen. It is set in a rural position and takes in views of the near by woodlands and rolling farmland. This impressive semi-detached property is very detailed and exceedingly well furnished with charming features such as the cathedral ceiling and gallery over the lounge. All the rooms are large, well-lit and welcoming. There is a secluded garden with a big patio and some outdoor furniture for outdoor use in majestic surroundings. Alford is only 1 mile away and rests at the centre of Upper Donside and has amazing shops and hotels. There are plenty of other attractions as well as a celebrated transport museum, dry ski slope, skate park, swimming pool, golf course and an incredible country park. There are brilliant quiet walks, winter sports at the Lecht ski area, a plethora of golf courses near by and then there is the centre of the Aberdeenshire Castle and whisky trails making this property the quintessential base for activities, exploring or just somewhere to unwind. The granite city of Aberdeen is 25 miles away and has superb clean beaches, an international airport and excellent retail and leisure amenities. The ground floor of the property has one double bedroom (with a king size bed) with en suite bathroom with a shower over the bath, a big spacious lounge/dining room with an open fire, patio doors and a second galleried sitting area above, well positioned airy breakfasting kitchen, utility room and a cloakroom / toilet. On the first floor there is a double bedroom (with a king size bed) that comes with a balcony and en suite shower room, one twin bedroom, (cot and high chair available if required) and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Cooking is done by gas hob/electric oven and there is oil-fired under floor heating plus an open fire. You will have use of two fridges, freezer, washing machine, dryer, microwave, dish washer, two televisions with SKY package, two DVD players and CD players. Bed linen and towels are supplied.
