Cottage Description

Offering stunning surroundings, this beautiful property has plenty of charm and can be found just outside the village of Kilmartin on the west side of Scotland. It has two bedrooms and can sleep up to four people.

This semi-detached cottage sits at the head of the Kilmartin Glen and is only a small walk away from the reputed standing stones of Kilmartin. It is a ground floor property that has one double bedroom and one twin room. There is also a family bathroom.

The cottage possesses a fitted kitchen and a living room. The living room has a dining table and wood burning stove to help create a real feeling of snugness and relaxation.

Amenities/Accommodation Overview

This property has full LPG central heating and extra heating from the wood burner in the living area. There is a gas oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher provided. The living area has a TV with Freeview, DVD player, radio, CD player, books, DVDs and games. Fuel, power, bed linen, towels and a starter pack for the wood burner are supplied. A cot and high chair are also available.

Off road parking is available for up to two cars. The lawn area has a patio with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Two well behaved dogs are welcome. Unfortunately, no smoking is allowed. The closest pub and shop are just 2 miles away.

Local Town Description

Kilmartin village is located in the heart of the Kilmartin Glen. It is one of the more prehistoric places in Scotland with quite a story to tell any guest that wishes to visit. It is only a few miles from standing stones, rock carvings, burial cairns and much more.

There is the Iron Age fort at Dunadd that guests should visit which was the home of the first kings of Scotland. The village of Kilmartin has a village church, post office, pub, shop and a castle. There is also the Kilmartin House Museum. The town of Lochgilphead is only 8 miles away and there is also a wide choice of shops and cafes at the neighbouring Inveraray, home to the Duke and Duchess of Argyll that is worth a visit.
