Cottage Description
From the outside appearance it may not be a surprise to learn that this lovely holiday property was formerly a public house. Reputedly the oldest property in Bellochantuy, there is talk of a secret passage leading to the shore nearby. The discovery of this passage has proved elusive over the years, but what is not elusive is the comfortable appearance and excellent specification of the property. The accommodation is to be found over three floors, and provides four bedrooms, offered as three doubles, one of which has en suite facilities comprising WC, basin and shower, and a twin with en suite basin, WC and basin, as well as two extra pull out beds. There is another shower room with WC, basin and shower. Sitting room with sea views and open fire, fitted kitchen with sea views, dining and games areas. There is furniture to use on the large front patio, as well as parking for several cars. Book an adjoining property in conjunction to provide a total sleeping accommodation for up to fifteen people. Amenities/Accommodation Overview Inclusive of bed linen, towels, and open fire starter pack. Electricity charged by way of key card (£30.00 included in the rent). Full elctric heating, washer.dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric hob and oven, radio/CD, DVD, TV with freeszat, DVDs, games and books. Games area providing a dart board and a pool table. Stair gate availability, six car off road parking, two well behaved dogs allowed, regret no smoking, five minutes walk to pub, three miles to shop. Local Town Description There is shelter from Davaar Island in the bay on which Campbeltown is positioned, and island that can be reached by a causeway that is a mile long. Originally home to a number of whisky distilleries as well as its fishing fleet, you will now find only two single malts waiting to be tasted. There is a Heritage Centre at Campbeltown that is housed in the old art deco building known as the Wee Picture House, being the oldest working cinema in the country. A wonder area of tradition and rich heritage, you can view the hills of Ireland's County Antrim from the Mull of Kintyre and few miles to the south

Excellent location for a bracing short break. Near to the beach, friendly welcome and good pub serving food across the road. Trips to Gigha and The Mull of Kintyre are enjoyable despite February weather.
