Cottage Description

The property, formerly a steading, was part of the Stonefield Castle Estate, and has been tastefully and professionally converted into holiday cottages. Courtyard setting with thirty acres of countryside grounds.

The Cartshed offers a well proportioned open plan lounge/diner with kitchen area and wood burner. The double bedroom provides a five foot bed, and the twin bedroom has extra bunk beds for two and a an en suite shower room/WC. Bathroom with WC.

Inclusive of electricity, towels and linen (duvets), convector heaters by way of meter reading. Radio, TV, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer in laundry room, high chair, parking, no smoking, pets, children's play area, logs free of charge, shared use of garden with patio and furniture, also shared use of barbecue and thirty acre grounds. Wheel chair access.

Wonderful position on the famous Kintyre Peninsula, just two miles to the north of Tarbet with its delightful harbour. This hosts the Scottish sailing regatta in May. Sea food from Loch Fyne is available and explore coves and beaches while walking the Kintyre Way.

Wildlife buffs will love the beavers, otters, buzzards, sea eagles, deer and red squirrels, while outdoor types will enjoy the clay pigeon shooting, mountain biking, horse riding and wind surfing. There are five local golf courses, and a championship course. Visit the islands of Islay and Arran, as well as Gigha with lovely white sands and shallow waters. Two miles to pubs and shops.
