Cottage Description

Located on a 200 acre functioning farm, these four holiday cottages boast panoramic views over the Firth of Clyde to Ailsa Craig, the Mull of Kintyre and the Antrim Mountains over in Northern Ireland. Only 1/2 mile from the archaic angling village of Ballantrae and 15 minutes drive from Girvan, a thriving seaside destination, the farm includes 1.5 miles of sandy beach and seashore reached by a short path from the main road below the cottages, which is made for swimming and taking a brisk walk along. Local facilities include golf, fishing, sailing and horse-racing at Ayr. The shops and pubs are only a short 1/2 mile away. The cottages sit near farm buildings at the peak of a small incline, 300 metres from the road, with securely enclosed gardens to the back for which garden furniture is offered. The cottage interiors are bright and luminous, with minimalist furnishings that do maintain a homely style which is great for a chilled out family holiday. Ayr 132 (b) and (c), these two semi-detached cottages can be linked together by an adjoining door in the bunk bedroom to sleep up to eleven people plus two babies. However, we recommend a maximum of four adults in each cottage to avoid cramped living conditions.

The property has one bedroom with a double and single bed, one room with bunk beds and single bed; pine furnished living/dining room, kitchen and a shower room. All power is supplied by electric. Guests will be able to use a fridge, washing machine, television and a microwave. Bed linen is supplied. A cot and a high chair are available by prior arrangement.
