Cottage Description

Benefiting from wide views out to the Firth of Clyde, this detached bungalow is a section of a working farm with acres of superb pastures and flourishing woodland on the edge of the quiet Water of Coyle. The farm actively promotes wildlife and is residence to a host of birds and mammals. There is a concealed, enclosed garden where guests sit back and soak up the sun in the summer and have barbecues as they watch glorious sunsets over the Isle of Arran. The bungalow is very homely, cosy and welcoming. It is accessed by a private road so children can cycle about or play in safety without the worry of them getting hurt on a main road. For guests hoping to bring a horse, stabling and grazing can be arranged if you contact the farm beforehand. The village of Coylton, is only 2 miles away, and has shops, pubs, a chemist, gym and a games hall so there is plenty to get involved with. A short drive winds down to the picturesque town of Ayr with its glut of golf courses, beaches and extensive shopping. Divine fishing is a possibility, if you're into it, as well as allocated cycle routes, horse-riding and heavenly walks through the rich countryside. The property is made up of two double bedrooms (one with a king size bed) and one triple-bedded room where a cot and a high chair are available. The lounge comes with an open fire and double bed settee. There is also a dining room, kitchen, bathroom with a shower over the bath and an extra separate toilet. Cooking is powered by electricity and there is oil-fired central heating plus an open fire. Guests will have use of the fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, two televisions, video, CD player and even a piano to possibly provoke an old fashioned sing-a-long. Imagine the atmosphere as someone belts out the Proclaimers! A tumble dryer and free internet access are both available by arrangement at the farmhouse upon your arrival. Bed linen and towels are also supplied.
