Cottage Description
You will have panoramic countryside views from this lovely semi-detached farm cottage of stone construction, that is to be found on a family run working sheep and beef farm set next to the River Nith Only three miles from New Cumnock, the accommodation on offer at Overcairn is set out as three bedrooms, being a ground floor double, a twin and a double with en suite basin and WC. There is a ground floor family bathroom with basin, WC, bath with shower over. There is an electric stove in the sitting room, and a dining area with the fitted kitchen. Utility room. Sole use of front patio with outdoor furniture, rear patio is shared. You will be free to use the lawned garden, trampoline, slide and children's swing that belong to the owner. Amenities/Accommodation Overview Inclusive of bed linen, towels, fuel and power. Full gas heating, freezer, fridge, microwave and electric cooker, and dishwasher. Washing machine in utility room. Radio/CD, TV with basic Sky, games, books and children's toys. High chair and cot availability by request, three car off road parking, one well behaved dog allowed (charged at £10.00 per week) - allowed in living areas only, outdoor kennel by request. Regret no smoking, three miles to pub and shop. Note: There is a private water supply to this cottage. Note: There is an unfenced pond in the garden, children to be supervised at all times. Note: Narrow, steep stairs to first floor. Local Town Description Cumnock has a traceable history back to the thirteenth century, and has vivid associations with the great poet, Robert Burns, who visited nearby Glen Afton on many occasions. Made famous by his poetry, this valley is a fabulous place to enjoy some great local walking. A local picnic area has a cairn in his memory. A great base to explore the Isle of Arran and beautiful Ayrshire, it also supports two world class golf courses in Turnberry and Royal Troon. Coastal Ayr has marvellous sandy beaches as well as bars, restaurants and shops. Eighteenth century Culzean Castle has a wonderful cliff top position and there is a six hundred acre country park. Drumlanrig Castle and Dumfries House at top local attractions.
