Cottage Description

This amazing traditional fisherman's cottage is one of a terrace of three constructed in the unique local gable to sea style. The cottage is in a really delightful position only across the road from the waters of the Moray Firth, where dolphins can be seen playing and angling boats frequent. A short walk along this visual pleasure of a shoreline is a glorious golden beach and the Strathlene links golf course, while on the upper level of the village are local inns and shops. Portessie is close to the lively deep sea angling port of Buckie which has amazing facilities and is one of a string of quaint old angling villages, each with its own personality and each worth a trip. All along the coast are links golf courses, rocky coves, sheltered beaches and stunning cliffs, while inland are idyllic small market towns set in the middle of abundant farmland, the Speyside whisky trail and the intriguing Aberdeenshire castle trail. Aberdeen and Inverness, both of which host international airports, are within an hour's drive which makes them extremely convenient. Outdoor activities include angling, bird watching, cycling, walking, riding and golf.

The ground floor of the property consists of a lounge, dining room with double sofa bed, kitchen and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. On the first floor is a one double bedroom, one twin bedroom. Cooking is powered by a gas hob/electric oven and there is gas central heating. You will also have access to a fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, SKY television (SKY box is for Freeview only), video, DVD player and a CD player. Bed linen and towels are also supplied. There is a cot available if required.
