Cottage Description

This cottage has been refurbished to a very high standard and offers comfortable accommodation in the Scottish Borders. It has three bedrooms and sleeps up to six people.

All the rooms in this property offer a high level of decoration and furnishings. The living room is spacious and retains beamed ceilings and has a wood burning stove. There is a study and the fitted kitchen is modern and has a lovely dining area. There are three bedrooms: two doubles both with televisions and en suite shower rooms, WC and basin; a ground floor twin bedroom with a television. There is also a bathroom on ground floor level with a shower cubicle, bath, WC and basin.

To the front of the house is a large garden and the back has a small garden with patio furniture ideal for outdoor entertaining.

Amenities/Accommodation Overview

Towels, bed linen, power, fuel and a started kit for the burner are all included in the rental price. There is central heating (oil) with a wood burner in the lounge. The kitchen is equipped with an oven and hob (electric), fridge-freezer, microwave, washer-tumble dryer and a dishwasher. Additional facilities consist of four televisions with DVD players and freeview, and a CD player while a highchair and cot are available on request. There is parking in a private lane at the back of the cottage. Sorry no pets and this is a no smoking property. The nearest shop and restaurant are two miles away and the nearest pub is five miles away. Please note there are stairs on the ground floor of the cottage leading to the different levels

Local Town Description

Swinton dates back to the 11th century and has been in its current state since the 1700s. It is only 5 miles from Coldstream - which offers fantastic angling opportunities on the banks of a salmon river. Throughout the area are historical houses and castles and for the more active there are walking, golf and fishing opportunities. There are untouched beaches just a small drive from the property and only an hour away is Edinburgh. This is a great base for exploring beautiful areas that Scotland has to offer.
