Seaview Cottage Beach Cottage

Originally called Coldingham Shore, and renamed St. Abbs after the headland to the north, this village is home to Seaview Cottage, a splendid "upside down" cottage, so designed to maximise the views from the feature first floor living area.

Dating more recently from the eighteenth century, St. Abbs has a particular popularity with scuba divers due to the clear coastal waters, whilst the St. Abbs Head Nature Reserve will be well known to birdwatching enthusiasts.

Oil fired central heating and electric convector heaters make this popular with holiday makers even when the weather turns colder and the days shorter. Stay here and enjoy the stunning Berwickshire coastline.

Upside down accommodation creating a ground floor double bedroom. Also on the ground floor is the shower room with shower, basin and WC.

First floor open plan living area with views, featuring sitting room with electric wood burning effect stove, TV, DVD, radio etc, dining space, attractive kitchen area having fridge, microwave, gas oven and hob. Oil central heating and electric convector heaters.

Inclusive of towels, bed linen, power and fuel, one car roadside parking, outdoor furniture for small patio area. Regret no pets and no smoking, two minutes walk to shop, ten to the beach. Pub one mile away.

Local Town Description

St Abbs is a most attractive little fishing village with a pleasant harbour, and hillside fisherman's cottages. Walkers will love the area with the Cheviots, the coastline and the Scottish border offer wonderful walking opportunities.

Coldingham offers a safe sandy beach about a mile away, whilst the border location offers a plethora of historic sites and buildings to explore, all being remnants of a more turbulent past.

Try visit Berwick, Edinburgh and the Farne Islands all of which will leave you with lasting memories of this stunning area.

The most PERFECT getaway ever! This cottage is situated in prime location - with the most stunning views of the harbour and sea. Pictures on website do not do it justice. PERFECT location!
