Located just inside the Scottish border only nine miles from lovely Berwick on Tweed, this property can be described as a stone built, semi-detached cottage formed by the conversion of a stable block. Main street position in the lovely village of Chirnside.

There is a front patio with barbecue and furniture to enjoy some outdoor eating. The accommodation offers a king sized double bedroom and a bathroom with WC, basin, bath and shower over. There is a sitting room and kitchen with dining space. Pleasing standard of decorations throughout.

Local Town Description

A splendid borders location on a ridge overlooking the Tweed Valley, and views to the Cheviots. Taking its name from an ancient local cairn, Chirnside is a very pretty village taking pride particularly in its gardens.

You will find lovely sandy beaches not far away at Eyemouth, which has a working harbour, and Coldingham. You will want to visit the grounds of the Hirsel and Duns Castle Estate which are available to the public, and the National Trust nature reserve at St. Abbs Head. Local attractions such as Ayton House, Paxton Hosue, Mellerstain and Maderston will fill your day tripping diary, while walkers and wild life buffs will be satisfied by what the River Tweed has to offer. There are many historic remains reflecting the turbulent border past.

The owners were very welcoming and the cottage was very warm and cosy. This was particularly important as the weather was quite cold and blustery.
