The pictures on the website do not do this cottage justice, it was immaculately clean and very spacious. The kitchen affords a fantastic view across to Scrabster and over to Hoy, and is very well appointed with lots of storage space, an abundance of pots and pans, a six place setting dishwasher and new washing machine. The main bedroom, which has a wonderfully comfortable and spacious bed, is at the rear of the property which again has the view of the bay. We were very surprised at how quiet the area surrounding the cottage was despite being so close to the town centre. We highly recommend this cottage and hope to visit again.

A great house, a good location, and we even spotted some seals in the bay here. The surf was pumping and check out bay north from here, it is worth the drive!

Great to be able to hear the waves crashing while in bed or the bath, and views from the back of the house to die for.

The location of this cottage was fantastic. The beach was on the doorstep with wonderful views across the bay to Hoy. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and we were made very welcome by the owner. This was also a good location for exploring the north coast of Scotland. John o'Groats is only 20 miles away with day trips to Orkney and fantastic boat trips provided by North Coast Marine. Many beautiful beaches and places of historical interest. The exhibition in Thurso was excellent.
