It is set in its own grounds and garden furniture is provided to gain full appreciation of the outside. The rugged and dramatic north coast has an idyllic mix of headlands, cliffs and wonderful beaches. The full range of outdoor pursuits includes bird watching and wildlife, surfing, hill walking, and pony trekking, whilst golfers will appreciate the links courses at Reay and Durness. All in all, a perfect venue for a quiet relaxing break. Bettyhill itself has shops, hotels, a swimming pool/leisure centre and a delightful beach. Thirty miles away is the country town of Thurso, and more adventurously a day trip to the Orkney Islands from Scrabster or John O'Groats can be undertaken. The bright, well proportioned accommodation includes two double bedrooms, excellent lounge with wood burning stove and patio doors, small living room/study, spacious kitchen with dining table, bathroom with shower over bath. Cooking by electricity or rayburn, electric central heating plus open fire. Fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, television, dvd / cd player. Bed linen and towels are provided.
