Customer Rating/Reviews

A group of 4 friends, we spent Christmas 2011 at the Old Smithy Barn, with 3 grown up children joining us for Christmas Day. We had an absolutely fabulous time. The barn is of a luxury standard with all the bedrooms ensuite plus a lovely family bathroom with roll-top bath, the lounge is very large and we had a sofa each! The beautiful, well-equipped kitchen is complete with a farmhouse table around which we gathered to socialise with a glass of wine. The dining room which is adjacent to the lounge also has a large dining table and the helpful owners had put in a nicely decorated Christmas tree. When we werent enjoying the Christmas festivities in the house, we got out and about walking. There are so many nice walks in the area that we think we will need to visit again to try some more of them. Cannot recommend this property highly enough. A beautiful barn conversation, with really good size bedrooms, all of which are ensuite. The property is finished to a high standard, and the owner was very welcoming. Some very nice touches such as dog bowls, and welcome hamper (with some doggie treats too!). We were a group of 4 couples, 1 young child and 2 dogs. We had a great time and spent so much of it in the very sociable style kitchen. Author: Mrs J, Stockport, Cheshire - Date Submitted: 06/2011
