Cottage Description

Located in the beautiful county of Cheshire, this charming Grade II listed traditional farm building sits on a small working farm on the edge of the Peak District.

The Shippon is a single-storey property that has oak beams and stone-flagged floors. There is one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet. There is a cosy sitting room with a TV and open wood burning fireplace. The well-equipped kitchen/diner has all the modern appliances, such as a microwave, oven and washing machine. Patio doors lead outside from the sitting room to a terraced seating area with outdoor furniture, BBQ and a communal garden. Off-road parking is also available.

Guests can enjoy the views of the surrounding farmland and scenery or get a taste for rural life by watching the animals that live on the farm, which include cows, sheep and pigs. The town of Macclesfield, famous for its Silk production is within easy reach, as is Congleton, which has a good choice of shops, pubs and restaurants. The stunning Peak District is on the doorstep and well worth exploring. There are a number of stately homes to visit in the area, or Manchester and Chester are within a thirty-minute drive away. The popular Alton Towers Theme Park is also easily accessible.
