Local Town Description The proximity to Betws-y-Coed is important if you want to get the best out of your holiday in this area. A most beautiful village, it owes much of its recent history to the Victorians who were responsible for its development and then patronised it as a tourist centre. Nowadays, it is still important as a touring centre with tourism information, shops, restaurants, gift shops and outdoor gear outlets. The confluence of three rivers, waterfall, wooded valley and mountain scenery, nature has been very kind to this area, with lakes, pools and ancient bridges. The railway station is a museum, having a restaurant, shop and miniature railway. The church is one of the oldest in Wales being constructed in the fourteenth century.

The cottage was in a small village where it was very quiet and we made the most of it. The views around and about were absolutely fantastic.
